Shunter / Tug Driver

Blue Recruitment Personnel is recruiting Shunter / Tug Drivers for a busy logistics operation in Immingham.

This role is ideal for experienced drivers who are confident moving trailers safely and efficiently within a fast-paced yard or port environment.

The role:

You will be responsible for shunting and tug-driving duties, ensuring trailers are moved safely, positioned correctly, and kept flowing through the operation. 

The work is hands-on and requires good spatial awareness, attention to detail, and a strong focus on safety.

Key responsibilities:

• Moving trailers and units around the yard.

• Positioning trailers for loading and unloading.

• Carrying out vehicle and equipment checks before use.

• Following site traffic management and health and safety procedures.

• Reporting any damage, defects, or safety concerns immediately.

• Supporting smooth day-to-day yard operations.

• Working closely with warehouse and transport teams.

Requirements:

• Previous shunter or tug driving experience.

• Valid driving licence suitable for the role.

• Good understanding of yard safety and trailer movements.

• Confident operating in a busy logistics environment.

• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.

• Flexible to work across different shifts.
