Registered Building Inspector

Blue Recruitment Personnel is currently seeking a Registered Building Inspector to join a growing Building Control team in the Kent area. 

This is an excellent permanent opportunity for an experienced professional with a strong background in Building Control and current registration at Class 2A or above.

The role:

You will carry out building control inspections, review compliance against the Building Regulations, and support the safe delivery of projects across the local area. 

The position suits someone who can work independently, communicate clearly with clients and colleagues, and manage work accurately using digital systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Undertake building control inspections across a varied portfolio of projects.

• Assess plans, drawings, and site works against relevant Building Regulations and compliance procedures.

• Record findings clearly and maintain accurate case files and reports.

• Work with internal teams and external stakeholders to progress applications efficiently.

• Use company systems, Word, and Excel to manage daily workload and documentation.

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years’ experience within the Building Control profession.
• Current Registered Building Inspector status, Class 2A or higher.
• Strong understanding of Building Regulations and compliance procedures.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• GCSE English and Maths, or equivalent.
• Competent in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Ability to learn and use project and data systems, with training provided.
