Job Description:

Blue Recruitment Personnel is recruiting for a Registered Service Manager to lead a brand-new supported accommodation service for young people aged 16 to 18 in the Coventry and Nuneaton area.

This is a rare opportunity to take ownership from day one, shape the culture, and build a service that makes a real difference.

The Role:

As the Registered Service Manager, you will provide strong leadership, clear compliance oversight and a child-centred approach to delivery.

You will play a key part in setting up the service, supporting registration, and creating a safe, stable and aspirational environment for young people preparing for adulthood and independent living.

Shift Pattern:

  • Monday to Friday, with flexibility to meet the needs of the service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the day-to-day running of the supported accommodation service.

  • Ensure compliance with the Supported Accommodation (England) Regulations 2023 and Supported Accommodation Quality Standards.

  • Prepare the service for registration and future Ofsted inspection.

  • Build and maintain a positive, trauma-informed and child-centred culture.

  • Recruit, induct, supervise and develop a high-performing team.

  • Keep safeguarding at the centre of all decision-making.

  • Carry out audits, quality checks and continuous improvement activity.

  • Monitor incidents, complaints, safeguarding concerns and outcomes.

  • Oversee person-centred support planning and progress for each young person.

Requirements:

  • Experience as a Supported Accommodation Manager, Registered Manager or Children’s Residential Manager.

  • Strong understanding of safeguarding, compliance and quality assurance.

  • Confident leadership and team development skills.

  • Knowledge of trauma-informed and child-centred practice.

  • Ability to work proactively, calmly and professionally under pressure.

  • Commitment to improving outcomes for vulnerable young people.

  • Suitable experience supporting registration or regulated services is highly desirable.

Suitable Experience:

This role would suit an experienced manager from supported accommodation, children’s residential care, semi-independent living or a similar regulated environment.

Previous experience building a team, preparing for registration, or launching a new service would be an advantage.

What We Offer:

  • A rare opportunity to build and shape a new service from the start.

  • Full support from an experienced and involved Responsible Individual.

  • Real autonomy to create culture, standards and team identity.

  • The chance to make a lasting impact on young people’s lives.

  • Competitive salary and long-term career opportunity.
