Part-Time Logistics / Warehouse Operative – Receiving & Packing

Key Responsibilities:

• Receive incoming packages and check them against documentation
• Identify dangerous goods items
• Segregate dangerous goods separately from general goods
• Scan parcels and complete the receiving process using warehouse systems
• Add only applicable and eligible goods to the master box
• Build and prepare packaging for shipment
• Hand completed shipments to the cargo team for airline dispatch
• Ensure only applicable orders are moved through to cargo
• Maintain accuracy, organisation and compliance throughout the receiving and packing process

Requirements:

• Good written and spoken English
• Strong reading skills for labels, documents and system instructions
• Confidence following basic system processes
• Ability to use scanners and computer systems
• Strong attention to detail
• High level of accuracy
• Reliable and punctual
• Ability to work independently
• Ability to lift light to moderate weights
• Ability to meet security and referencing requirements for working in the Heathrow area
• Five-year referencing history
• DBS check if required
• Candidates must be currently based in the UK
• Permanent legal right to live and work in the UK
• Warehouse, logistics, goods-in, packing, fulfilment or cargo-handling experience is suitable
• Previous dangerous goods awareness or airfreight exposure is advantageous but not essential
• Motivated candidates without direct dangerous goods experience will be considered
