Role Overview

Blue Recruitment Personnel is recruiting an experienced Engineering Manager/Senior Engineer for a well-established Castleford contractor with a strong track record across affordable homes, private housing, and residential care home developments. 

This is a role for a technically sharp engineer who’s just as comfortable behind the design desk as they are challenging a drainage strategy that doesn’t quite stack up.

You’ll bring genuine design expertise, sound commercial judgement on land bids, and the confidence to work closely with external consultants to keep projects moving in the right direction.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Acting as an experienced Designer across live projects

• Applying knowledge of land bids to support scheme viability

• Liaising effectively with external consultants

• Challenging and refining drainage strategies where needed

• Producing clear, technically sound reports and strategies

What You’ll Need

• Proven experience as a Senior Engineer or Engineering Manager, ideally with a house builder, main contractor, or civil engineering contractor

• Strong technical and design capability

• Confidence engaging with consultants and challenging technical strategy where required
