Job Description:

Role Overview

We’re looking for a warm, resilient, and compassionate Family Support Worker to join a dedicated team in Liverpool, working directly with children, young people,e and families across Early Intervention, Respite, Family Time, Mothers & Babies, and Emergency Support. 

This is a hands-on, community-based role for someone who genuinely wants to make a difference in family life, one visit at a time.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Contributing to children’s and young people’s care plans and risk assessments, including their review and implementation

  • Travelling to and working within family homes, hospitals and various community settings, delivering the highest standard of support across Early Intervention, Respite, Family Time, Mothers & Babies, and Emergency Support

  • Taking individual responsibility for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of everyone you support and come into contact with

  • Building effective, trusting relationships with young people, their families and external agencies

  • Providing advice, assistance and support on a 1:1, 2:1 or 3:1 basis to children, young people and families

  • Liaising with families ahead of support sessions to confirm plans, arrival times, and session activities

  • Working collaboratively with colleagues to achieve shared aims and objectives

  • Promoting a positive, supportive team environment, sharing knowledge and experience to achieve the best possible outcomes

  • Actively contributing to the ongoing development of the team

  • Maintaining accurate records and sharing information appropriately to support effective communication

What You’ll Need

  • Experience working with children, young people and families (essential)

  • Level 3 Diploma in Children and Young People or equivalent (desirable)

  • A genuine passion for nurturing and supporting young people

  • Flexibility to work days, evenings, and weekends

  • A full, valid driving licence (essential)
