HGV Class 1 Driver

Blue Recruitment Personnel is recruiting for HGV Class 1 Drivers in the Sheffield area.

The role:

You will be carrying out Class 1 trunking and distribution work, ensuring loads are delivered safely, on time and in line with company and site procedures.  

This role suits drivers who take pride in reliability, vehicle standards and a professional attitude on the road and at collection points.

Key Responsibilities:

• Complete Class 1 driving duties safely and efficiently.

• Carry out vehicle checks before and after each shift.

• Secure loads correctly and follow all transport procedures.

• Complete delivery paperwork and communicate clearly with the transport team.

• Maintain a professional and courteous manner at all times.

• Report defects, delays or incidents promptly.

Requirements:

• Valid UK Class 1 (C+E) licence.

• Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.

• Good knowledge of drivers’ hours and road transport regulations.

• Reliable, punctual and able to work independently.

• Minimum of 6 months Class 1 driving experience preferred.

Suitable Experience:

• HGV Class 1 trunking.

• General haulage and distribution.

• Retail, pallet network or container work.

• Night trunking or day runs.

What we offer:

• Competitive local pay rates from £17.00 to £21.00 per hour, depending on shift pattern and experience.
