Registered Manager

Blue Recruitment Personnel is recruiting for an experienced Registered Manager to lead the opening and ongoing success of a new children’s home in the Nuneaton area.

The Role: 

You will provide strong, compliant leadership across the home, ensuring young people receive safe, consistent, and high-quality care. 

This position suits someone who can confidently balance Ofsted expectations, staff leadership, safeguarding, and day-to-day operational excellence.

 Key responsibilities:

• Take full registered responsibility for the children’s home and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and quality standards.

• Lead, support, and develop the staff team to deliver exceptional care.

• Maintain a safe, nurturing, and structured environment for young people with EBD needs.

• Oversee safeguarding, care planning, risk management, and incident reporting.

• Work closely with the Responsible Individual to drive quality, consistency, and continuous improvement.

• Ensure the home is prepared for inspections and operates to a high regulatory standard.

• Build a strong, stable culture from the outset in a newly established home.

Requirements:

• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare, or working towards it.

• Proven experience in a registered manager or deputy manager role within children’s residential care.

• Strong understanding of EBD, safeguarding, and Ofsted expectations.

• Confident leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.

• Experience working in a regulated residential childcare environment.

• Full UK right to work.

Suitable experience:

• Registered Manager or Deputy Manager experience in a children’s home.

• Experience opening, stabilising, or improving a residential service.

• Background in EBD, trauma-informed care, or complex needs.

• Strong working knowledge of children’s home compliance and inspection requirements.
