Registered Service Manager

Blue Recruitment Personnel is recruiting for a Registered Service Manager for a newly developed Supported Accommodation service in the Walsall area, offering a salary of £50,000 to £55,000 per annum. 

This is a full-time, permanent opportunity to take ownership of a brand-new service from day one and shape its culture, quality and success.

The Role:

Blue Recruitment Personnel is seeking an experienced and ambitious Registered Service Manager to lead a newly established Supported Accommodation service for young people aged 16-18. 

This is a rare opportunity to build a service from the ground up, create a strong and positive culture, and make a real difference to young people preparing for adulthood and independent living.

You will take overall responsibility for the leadership, management and compliance of the service, with full support from an experienced Responsible Individual throughout the registration process and beyond.

Shift Pattern:

• Full-time, permanent role. 
• Working pattern to support the operational needs of the service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the day-to-day running of the service in line with Supported Accommodation regulations and quality standards.

• Prepare the service for registration and future Ofsted inspections.

• Build and embed a child-centred, trauma-informed culture.

• Recruit, supervise and develop a high-performing staff team.

• Ensure safeguarding remains central to all service delivery.

• Carry out audits, quality assurance checks and improvement plans.

• Monitor incidents, complaints, safeguarding concerns and young person outcomes.

• Develop person-centred support plans focused on independence, education and employment.

• Work closely with internal and external professionals to support positive outcomes.

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a Supported Accommodation Manager, Registered Manager or Children’s Residential Manager.

• Strong understanding of safeguarding, compliance and regulated care settings.

• Experience supporting young people aged 16-18.

• Proven leadership, organisation and team management skills.

• A child-centred approach with a genuine commitment to positive outcomes.

• Knowledge of independent living preparation and person-centred support.

• Ability to work proactively and confidently in a developing service.

Suitable Experience:

This role would suit someone with a background in supported accommodation, children’s residential care, residential management, or a similar regulated environment who is ready to take the lead on a new and exciting service.
