Vehicle Service Technician

Blue Recruitment Personnel is recruiting for a skilled Vehicle Service Technician for a permanent position in the Epsom area, offering a salary of £34,000 per year.

The Role:

You will join a professional automotive workshop, carrying out vehicle servicing, repairs, and maintenance to keep customers’ vehicles safe, reliable, and performing properly.

This is a practical, hands-on position for an experienced technician who can confidently join a busy workshop and contribute from the outset.

Shift Pattern:

• Monday to Friday, 08:00–17:30

Key Responsibilities:

• Complete scheduled servicing, maintenance and repair work across a range of vehicles
• Carry out mechanical repairs in line with manufacturer guidance and workshop procedures
• Support vehicle inspections and identify work required to meet safety and roadworthiness standards
• Use hand tools, power tools and workshop equipment safely and correctly
• Assist with electrical fault-finding and repair work where required
• Prepare accurate job cards and records of servicing, repairs and parts used
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe working area
• Communicate clearly and professionally with colleagues and customers regarding completed work and identified repairs
• Contribute to efficient workshop operations and meet agreed quality standards

Requirements:

• Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent
• Proven vehicle servicing and repair experience within a UK main-dealer environment
• Strong mechanical knowledge and practical workshop skills
• Experience working with automotive electrical systems
• Competent and safe use of hand tools, power tools and diagnostic equipment
• Full UK driving licence
• Own tools
• Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to record-keeping
• Ability to manage workload independently and work effectively as part of a workshop team
• Permanent right to live and work in the UK

Suitable Experience:

This role would suit a Vehicle Technician, Service Technician, Motor Mechanic or Light Vehicle Technician with relevant main-dealer workshop experience.

You will be comfortable completing servicing and repair work to a consistently high standard and be ready to make an immediate contribution in a busy automotive environment.
